Privacy Policy

Effective August 12, 2026

Kanbora is production planning software, operated by Kanbora Inc., a corporation registered in Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can do about it.

It covers our website and the Kanbora application. It does not cover the production data a customer loads into Kanbora. That data stays the customer's own, and we handle it under our agreement with that customer.

Information you give us

When you make an enquiry, sign up for an account, or otherwise write to us, we collect:

  • Your name and company name.
  • Your email address.
  • Your phone number.
  • Anything you choose to write to us in a sales or support message.

Not every form asks for all of it. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never visible to us.

Information collected automatically

When you browse our pages, and unless you have rejected cookies, we and the providers listed below collect the following.

  • Usage and device information. Pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, browser and device type, and the site that referred you.
  • Advertising attribution. Campaign and click information carried on links from our ads, which we attach to any enquiry you send us.
  • Interaction events. Which parts of a page you reached and whether you submitted a form. We do not record what you type.
  • Cookies set by us and by our analytics and advertising providers. See the cookies section below.

How we use your information

  • To respond to your enquiries and answer your questions.
  • To provide the Kanbora application, including signing you in and keeping each organization's data separate.
  • To measure the performance of our advertising.
  • To improve the product and the website.
  • To send you service messages about your account, such as billing notices and security alerts.
  • To meet our legal and accounting obligations.

Who we share it with

We use service providers to run Kanbora, covering hosting and infrastructure, our database and sign in, protection against automated abuse, and our sales records. Each receives only what it needs, and each is bound to use it only on our instructions rather than their own.

We also use Google Analytics and Meta for analytics and advertising. These set their own identifiers and use what they receive for their own measurement as well as ours. They receive usage and device information, their own cookie identifiers, your IP address, and your browser user agent. When you send us an enquiry, Meta also receives hashed versions of your email address and phone number. You can stop this by rejecting cookies.

We will also disclose information where the law requires it, and to a buyer or successor if the business is sold, in which case this policy travels with the information.

Cookies and your choices about them

Cookies that are needed to sign you in, keep your session, and protect our forms from bots are always active. The site does not work without them.

Analytics and advertising cookies run until you reject them using the banner we show on your first visit, and we remember that choice.

You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the strictly necessary ones will stop you being able to sign in.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries and sales correspondence: while we are in contact with you and for a period afterward, and no longer than we need it for the purposes above.
  • Account and organization data: for as long as the account is open. After it closes we delete or anonymize it, and you can ask us to do that sooner.
  • Analytics and advertising data: for the retention period set by the provider concerned, which we do not control.

We keep records longer where the law requires it, for example to meet our own tax and accounting obligations.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, or delete it. Write to privacy@kanbora.ai and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm who you are before we act.

If we send you marketing email, you can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in the message. Service messages about an account you hold will still reach you.

Security and where your information lives

We keep your information encrypted in transit and at rest, limit access to the people who need it, and separate each organization's data so that one customer cannot reach another's. No system is perfectly secure.

Our systems and our providers store and process information in Canada and the United States. Information held in the United States is subject to United States law, including lawful access requests by United States authorities, and this applies no matter where you are when you send it to us.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when what we do changes. The effective date at the top tells you when the current version took effect. If a change materially affects how we handle information we already hold about you, we will tell account holders by email before it takes effect.

How to reach us

Privacy questions and requests go to privacy@kanbora.ai, or call us at 1-519-984-3719. Our postal address is Kanbora Inc., 231 Donalda Court, Tecumseh, ON, Canada, N8N 3K2.

This policy is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply in it. If we cannot resolve your concern, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
